The customer was renovating a condominium bathroom where core drilling was needed to relocate the plumbing lines. The building engineer required ground penetrating radar scanning prior to drilling. GPR emits electromagnetic pulses into the concrete which is interpreted by the technician. GPR poses no health risks to residents and the workers did not need to leave the unit while the concrete scanning work was completed. A 2′ x 2′ scan area typically requires 15 minutes to complete. The results are marked on the surface with customer-approved markings. Additionally, only one side of the concrete is required to complete the scanning.
